Privacy notice
This English translation is provided for information. The German privacy notice is the authoritative version.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
Lukas Frenken, Holzmeisterei Frenken
Kölnstr. 143, 53111 Bonn
Germany
Phone: +49 163 9645 108
Email: frenken@home-frenken.de
2. Data minimisation on this website
This website is deliberately designed to minimise data processing. Simply visiting the site does not activate analytics, tracking or statistics services, external fonts or advertising networks. Fonts, images and website files are delivered together through STRATO web hosting; no other third-party content is loaded when a page is opened. No cookies are set, so no consent banner is required. Data is transmitted in encrypted form using HTTPS/TLS.
3. Website access and server log files
When the website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data in server log files. This generally includes the IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, amount of data transferred, referrer and browser type. Processing is necessary to provide the website and maintain its stability and security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests). Log files are retained only for a limited period.
The hosting provider is STRATO. The scope and retention period of technically necessary server log files are governed by the web-hosting contract and the settings configured there.
4. Contact form
When you submit the contact form, the information entered is processed server-side on the STRATO web-hosting account. This includes your name, email address, optional phone number, town/postcode and – depending on the enquiry route selected – project details such as the type of building, use, dimensions, location and design preferences or kit details such as manufacturer, model, item number, product link, delivery and foundation status, together with your message. Before a successful response is returned, a record with a reference is stored in a server directory that is not publicly accessible. The server then attempts to notify the business mailbox set up to handle enquiries. The email is a notification, not proof of delivery; the technical notification status is recorded with the saved enquiry. Only the form data you enter is stored. No tracking or external CAPTCHA is used. A hidden technical field (a “honeypot”) protects against automated spam and does not collect personal data.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The stored enquiry and email are deleted once they are no longer needed to deal with the enquiry and no statutory retention obligation applies. The notification status is used solely to check and operate the enquiry process.
5. Contact by phone and email
If you contact us by phone or email, the information you provide is processed to deal with your enquiry under Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. This website does not offer any other contact channels; in particular, no messenger service is embedded.
6. Your rights
You have the right to request access to personal data stored about you, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing. Contact the address stated above to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
